Kelsey H. Lynch is the Strings Teacher at Angel Oak Elementary, EB Ellington Elementary, Mt. Zion Elementary, Frierson Elementary, Jane Edwards Elementary, and Minnie Hughes Elementary. She graduated from Appalachian State University with Bachelors of Music in Cello Performance. During her time at Appalachian, Kelsey was the recipient of the Hayes Endowment for Musical Excellence Scholarship, the principal cellist for the Appalachian Symphony Orchestra, as well as a member of the Glass Chamber Quartet.  As for her love of teaching, she is a  part of the American String Teacher's Association. Kelsey has a small studio of cello students and plays in weddings through out the low country, while also working part-time as an event manager at the Gaillard Center downtown. Kelsey believes that every child has the ability and should have the opportunity to learn a stringed instrument and have the wonderful experience of being in an orchestra. The arts have always been a big part of her schooling and will continue to be a big part in her life.
